A Cassano's Pizza King restaurant is in the works in the Airway Shopping Center.

The pizza shop could open as early as late April at 192 Woodman Drive, according to Cassano’s spokeswoman Lora Cassano Hammons. It will replace the existing pizza shop down the street at 2418 E. Third St. in Dayton. That shop opened in 1973.

The new Cassano’s will have seating for nearly 40, and the Kettering-based chain will probably add eight to 10 new jobs, Cassano Hammons said.

“We chose the new location based on its visibility and its proximity to the other location to meet our delivery area needs,” she said. “Our goal is to be open by the end of April.”
