U.S. News ranks 2 Wright State programs in annual ‘best colleges’ list

U.S. News and World Report has released its annual rankings of the best colleges and programs and Wright State University made the list.

Wright State had two of its academic programs ranked by U.S. News on the 2018 list.

Wright State’s undergraduate engineering programs, with highest degree being a doctorate, received the highest honor for the school, coming in at No. 137. WSU tied with the University of Dayton in the category, according to the rankings.

The business programs at Wright State also received an honor. WSU’s business programs were ranked No. 249, according to the report.

Around 1,388 schools are included in the rankings, according to U.S. News.

U.S. News surveyed more than 1,275 schools for statistical data used to determine the rankings and some additionally needed data was obtained through the National Center for Education Statistics.

Information on financial resources, faculty, SAT and ACT scores, acceptance rates, six-year graduation rates and first-year retention rates were all considered, according to U.S. News.
