Southwest Airlines offering deals out of Ohio airports

Southwest Airlines is offering a three-day deal for low fare on flights.

The sale started on Tuesday and goes through Thursday. The discounted fares are for select times this year in the U.S. — Nov. 30 through Dec. 20 and Jan. 4 through Feb. 15.

There are some deals to and from airports near the Miami Valley. From Dayton International Airport, flyers can go to Chicago (Midway) for $49 per one-way ticket.

From Columbus, the deals include:

• Starting at $49 one-way: Baltimore/Washington, Chicago, Nashville, St. Louis, Washington D.C.

• Starting at $79 one-way: Atlanta, Boston

• Starting at $99 one-way: Dallas, Denver, Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers, Orlando, Tampa

• Starting at $129 one-way: Las Vegas, Oakland

• Starting at $149 one-way: Phoenix

Customers can visit Southwest's website for full details. In late August, Allegiant also added more low cost flights at the Dayton International Airport.

Allegiant announced it is adding another nonstop flight to Punta Gorda, Fla., from the Dayton airport. Known for its “ultra-low” fares, the airline will offer one-ways fares on the route for as low as $51.

The service is set to begin Nov. 17, and details including varying fares are available on Allegiant's website.
