Miamisburg City Council has elected a new vice mayor.

Three-term Councilwoman Sarah Clark has been unanimously chosen for the two-year post, succeeding Mike McCabe. Clark, 35, was first elected to council in 2009, unseating incumbent Lisa Hughes.

In 2015, she ran unsuccessfully against longtime Miamisburg Mayor Dick Church Jr., becoming his first challenger in 24 years.
