The 3.84 acres is in West Carrollton’s City Center district, a mixed use zoning that covers commercial, office and retail use. But no specific plans for redevelopment have been announced.

West Carrollton’s city council accepted the funds this week.

West Carrollton is partnering with the county's land bank to demolish the building, which has been empty since August 2012 and which the county acquired in December 2016, according to the city.
