Lolli, who was hired as associate superintendent for the district in August 2016, has had a long career in education.

As associate superintendent for teaching and learning at Dayton, Lolli has been involved in numerous initiatives in the past year and a half. Those include attempts to bolster the district’s summer school program and to adjust DPS’ preschool structure to work with the Preschool Promise group. Lolli also helped to implement the district’s new teacher-leader program, and adjust how DPS uses classroom aides.

Before taking the job at DPS, Lolli served as director of curriculum and instruction for Middletown City Schools.

She also is no stranger to the position of superintendent. Lolli has held superintendent positions at both Monroe Local School District and Barberton City School District, which is located in Summit County near Akron.

Lolli began her appointment in Monroe in 2008 on a four-year contract with an annual salary of $112,000, according to reports from the Journal-News at the time.

She worked as Barberton's superintendent from 2003 until she was hired for Monroe's top job, according to a 2007 report in the Akron Beacon Journal. Lolli told the Beacon Journal that she took the Monroe job in order to return to southwest Ohio, where she is from and still has family members.
