Wright State’s board of trustees approved the sale during a board meeting Wednesday morning in the student union.
Trustees said Miami Township in Greene County may use the land to build a new fire station.
Also at Wednesday’s board meeting, several music students at Wright State protested the 23 layoffs at the university that were announced last week. The cuts will include six instructors and 17 staff members.
The students said two of their instructors were notified that their one-year contracts would not be renewed.
