Wright State University trustees met for nearly four hours tonight but did not reach a decision on who will become the college’s next president.

“(The board) really realizes how important that decision is for the university so we want to take our time and get it as right as we possibly can,” said trustee and search committee chairman Doug Fecher.

Trustees received reports on the candidates from the search firm and committee involved in the presidential search, Fecher said.

Trustees are scheduled to meet again at 4 p.m. Thursday in executive session in the student union. While Fecher has said the search committee would like to pick the next president as soon as possible, tonight he said he was unsure of when that might be.
