The new business, owned by Tim Sommer and Alex Smith, has partnered with the recently-opened DK Effect bar and arcade (1600 E. 3rd St.) to bring food options on Saturdays.

“We’ve been working on our truck for about six months,” said owner Alex Smith. “After talking to all the passionate neighbors and seeing the cool things going on in the Huffman area, we’re excited to finally be a part of the growth happening here.”

The truck's menu include their usual barbecue fare: pulled pork and sliced brisket and turkey offerings, but will also rotate ribs, chicken wings, and pork belly on a plate, on a sandwich, or as part of a taco.

Smith says the truck will primarily spend their time at DK Effect, but this this weekend is an exception: they plan to barbecue at the river music festival Canoegrass, which they have attended for years.
