2018 recruit takes official visit to Dayton

The Dayton Flyers are hosting a 2018 recruit on an official visit this weekend.

Serrel Smith, a 6-foot-3 guard from St. Petersburg High School (Fla.), is visiting campus, according to the Twitter account of the Showtime Ballers, an AAU program in Orlando. Dayton offered him a scholarship on Aug. 7.

Smith is a three-star recruit, according to Rivals.com. ESPN gives him four stars. 247Sports.com ranks him 11th among combo guards in the class of 2018.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: UD adds point guard transfer

Smith visited Wichita State last weekend. Acording to Russ Wood, of InsidetheGators.com, he will visit Ole Miss next weekend.
