Miami University announced Thursday that legendary football coach Ara Parseghian will receive the President’s Medal.

Parseghian played football and was the head coach in Oxford before leading Notre Dame to a pair of national championships in the ‘60s and ‘70s.

The President’s Medal is presented to individuals of high achievement who have made significant contributions to Miami or to exceptional individuals who exemplify the university motto through their extraordinary service to their community.
