RELATED: Greenville softball loses on walk-off home run
CJ ended the drought thanks in part to three RBIs by Garrett Wissman. He hit a two-run home run in the first and doubled in a run in the sixth.
That last run proved important because DeSales scored one run in the seventh and had the tying run on base when Ryan Peltier, who pitched a complete game, got a flyball out to end the game.
CJ will play Athens or Steubenville at 4 p.m. Thursday in the state semifinals at Huntington Park in Columbus.
