The University of Dayton announced an extension of men’s basketball coach Archie Miller’s contract through the 2022-23 season on Wednesday. Miller also got a raise, but terms of the contract were not disclosed.

It’s the third straight year Miller has signed an extension. His contract was extended through the 2018-19 season during the 2013-14 season. Last year, after the Flyers finished a 27-9 season with two NCAA tournament victories, he signed an extension through the 2021-22 season.

“I’ve said many times, I am thankful and honored to be the head men’s basketball coach at the University of Dayton,” Miller said in a press release. “We can continue to do great things here. The University, the community, and our loyal fans have given our program the opportunity to compete with the best, and I look forward to pursuing consistent success and delivering first-class results both on and off the court for everyone associated with our program.”

Miller, 37, is 115-55 in five seasons. The Flyers finished 25-8 last season and reached the NCAA tournament for the third straight year, falling 70-51 to Syracuse in the first round Friday in St. Louis.

“Our relationship with Archie continues to recognize the exceptional achievement of our men’s basketball program under his leadership and strongly affirms our mutual commitment to long-term success,” UD Athletic Director Neil Sullivan said. “We share a common vision of graduating student-athletes, consistently competing for conference championships and advancing in the NCAA Tournament. I look forward to pursuing those goals together.”
