The first Ken Pomeroy ratings are out, and the Dayton Flyers rank 37th.

KenPom.com's rankings take a stats-based look at college basketball teams, ranking them according to offensive and defensive efficiency and predicting win totals for each team.

Pomeroy predicts a 21-7 record for Dayton. That doesn’t include two games in the Wooden Legacy tournament because those opponents aren’t known. Pomeroy gives UD a 98 percent chance of winning its opener against Austin Peay and a 53 percent chance of winning its second game at Alabama.

Pomeroy’s formula favors the Flyers in every game until a Jan. 27 road game at Virginia Commonwealth.

Dayton’s highest-rated opponents are No. 18 St. Mary’s, No. 33 VCU, No. 43 Rhode Island, No. 61 Northwestern, No. 64 Vanderbilt, No. 73 Alabama, No. 83 George Washington, No. 87 Nebraska and No. 90 St. Joseph’s.
