A victory by the Flyers (13-4, 4-1) would give them a share of first place with Richmond (11-6, 5-0). The game has added importance because the teams play only once in the regular season.

Meanwhile, the A-10 saw another big upset Wednesday. Fordham (8-11, 2-4) knocked off Virginia Commonwealth (14-5, 4-2) at Rose Hill Gym in the Bronx. After a 4-0 start in league play, VCU has lost two straight and is now a half game behind UD and La Salle (10-5, 4-1).

Eight of the 14 teams in the A-10 are below .500 in league play. Five are tied for ninth place at 2-4, including Massachusetts, the only team to beat Dayton.
