The Dayton Flyers offered a scholarship to Xavier Pinson, a 6-foot-2 senior point guard from Simeon Career Academy in Chicago. That’s the alma mater of former Dayton forward Kendall Pollard.

Pinson announced the scholarship offer Sunday on Twitter. He also picked up an offer from Georgetown this weekend.

Pinson is a three-star recruit in the class of 2018, according to Rivals.com. He spent the past three years at St. Patrick High School in Chicago, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Dayton has one scholarship open for 2018. It has signed one recruit in the class, Dwayne Cohill, of Holy Name High School in Parma Heights, Ohio.

Pinson originally committed to Kent State on Oct. 8 but reopened his recruitment on Oct. 14.
