A fundraiser for the family of former Dayton Flyers guard Kyle Davis has raised $19,600 since Thursday.

GoFundMe account was started Thursday to raise money for Davis' family, which lost its home in Chicago in a fire on April 4. The goal was to raise $11,000, and donations by 193 people helped the family surpass that goal in fewer than two days.

Davis responded to the outpouring of support on Friday.

Julianne Ohl Franklin, who started the GoFundMe.com page, wrote, “It has been awesome seeing a group of unknown people come together to support a hardworking, inspirational, loving and kind young man and his family. I have said it many times before and I will say it again, those #FlyerFaithful are something else.”
