Multiple media outlets are reporting that Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones was arrested this morning and cited for disorderly conduct after a vehicle he was traveling in was stopped on Ohio 125 at about 2:30 a.m.
The driver of the car, 33-year-old Tishana Holmes, reportedly was arrested and cited for OVI.
“We’re aware of the media reports, but our standard policy is we don’t believe it’s appropriate to comment on legal matters that are not yet resolved,” Bengals director of public relations Jack Brennan said.
It is the second arrest in a little more than three months for the 29-year-old Jones, who has had multiple run-ins with the law since being drafted by the Tennessee Titans with the sixth overall pick in 2005.
He was arrested in June for allegedly striking a woman outside of a Cincinnati bar after a Reds game. He is due to appear in court on that charge on Oct. 7.
Jones, who was suspended by the NFL for the entire 2007 season, is in his fourth year with the Bengals.
