Former Flyers forward Pierre to play in Germany

Former Dayton Flyers forward Dyshawn Pierre announced Wednesday he has signed his first professional contract. He will play for Löwen Braunschweig in Brunswick, Germany.

“Excited to work hard and start this new chapter in my life!” Pierre wrote on Instagram. “Thanks for all the support over the years from friends family coaches teammates and followers. Love you all!”

Pierre, the first Canadian to play for the Flyers, finished his college career in March. He ranks 23rd in UD history with 1,423 points and 12th with 838 rebounds.

Löwen Braunschweig plays in Basketball Bundesliga, the highest league in Germany. Brunswick is located in north central Germany, about 2½ hours west of Berlin.
