Anthony Solomon will join the staff of Dayton Flyers head coach Anthony Grant, according to a source on Tuesday.

Solomon coached at Dayton under Brian Gregory in 2007-08. He got that job not long after losing his job as head coach at St. Bonaventure. He coached the Bonnies from 2003-07. He was 24-88 in four seasons and was fired after a 7-22 season but was praised for helping the program rebound from a recruiting scandal that took place before he was hired.

Solomon coached last season at Georgetown. He left Dayton in 2008 and coached on Mike Brey’s staff at Notre Dame for eight seasons.

Solomon played at Virginia and graduated in 1987, the same year Grant graduated from UD.

Grant hired Darren Hertz earlier this month. The hires have not been officially announced.
