The Cincinnati Bengals inactive list looks like an early Christmas present for the Houston Texans with four starters who have combined for eight Pro Bowl appearances among the group.

Wide receiver A.J. Green, linebacker Vontaze Burfict, tight end Tyler Eifert and left guard Clint Boling will sit out Saturday night’s game in which the Texans can clinch the AFC South Division with a win.

Burfict (concussion/knee), Eifert (back) and Boling (shoulder) were ruled out Friday, while Green was listed as questionable. But early Saturday morning Green was told he would not play, marking the fifth consecutive game he has missed with the hamstring injury suffered Nov. 20 against Buffalo.

At least one report indicated the Bengals will shut down Green, who is just 36 yards shy of 1,000, for the season and not risk playing him in the Jan. 1 season finale against Baltimore.

Also inactive are tight end Tyler Kroft, who was ruled out Friday with knee and ankle injuries, quarterback Jeff Driskel and cornerback Kei’Varae Russell.

With Boling out, Andrew Whitworth will start at left guard and Cedric Ogbuehi will start at left tackle. Ogbuehi started 11 games at right tackle before being benched. This will be his first start at left tackle, his natural position.

Rookie offensive lineman Christian Westerman, the team’s fifth-round pick, is active for the first time.

Rookie sixth-round pick Cody Core is expected to start for Green.
