The Cincinnati Bengals will be thin at cornerback today at Denver with both Adam Jones and William Jackson inactive.

Jones was ruled out Friday with a concussion, but Jackson, who was listed as questionable, was hopeful of playing through a toe injury.

Jackson worked out on the field prior to the game, but the toe was bothering him too much. That means Darqueze Dennard will start at right cornerback opposite Dre Kirkpatrick.

That leaves the slot responsibilities to Josh Shaw, who was called for three penalties in the fourth quarter last week at Tennessee, all three of which came on third down and resulted in automatic first downs for the Titans.

Kei’Varae Russell is the only other corner active today.

Also inactive is wide receiver John Ross as a healthy scratch. It's the eighth time in 11 games Ross has been inactive. He played last week at Tennessee and drew the ire of coach Marvin Lewis for stopping on a deep route on third down.

The Bengals are going with six wide receivers for the second week in a row, which means Tyler Boyd will play for the first time since suffering a knee injury in Week 5 against Buffalo.

The other inactives are linebacker Kevin Minter (elbow), offensive linemen Christian Westerman (healthy) and Alex Redmond (healthy) and defensive tackle Josh Tupou (healthy).
