Dayton (12-14, 6-8) stopped a two-game losing streak. It is now tied with Duquesne and George Mason for eighth place in the Atlantic 10.
Trey Landers led the Flyers with 26 points. Jalen Crutcher scored 19. Darrell Davis had 12 points, and Josh Cunningham scored 10.
Dayton has now 14 straight games against Fordham (9-17, 4-10), which has never won a game at UD Arena.
Dayton shot 64.4 percent from the field, 50 percent from 3-point range (9 of 18) and 76.5 percent at the free-throw line (13 of 17).

Big run: Dayton trailed 9-8 and then went on a 9-0 run and led the rest of the half.
Surprise appearance: Walk-on Jack Westerfield was one of the first Dayton players off the bench. The starters played the first 11 minutes. Westerfield and Kostas Antetokounmpo came off the bench at the same time.
No action: Xeyrius Williams didn't play in the first half. He missed two games and then saw action in the previous game, a loss at George Mason on Wednesday.
Key stat: Fordham stayed in the game by making 7 of 16 3-pointers. Dayton made 6 of 10.
