The Ohio State Buckeyes ranked No. 2 in the preseason Amway Coaches Poll released Thursday. Four Big Ten teams made the top 10.

Ohio State received five of 65 first-place votes. Alabama, which received 49 first-place votes, is the preseason No. 1.

Here’s the rest of the top 10: No. 3 Florida State; No. 4 Southern California; No. 5 Clemson; No. 6 Penn State; No. 7 Washington; No. 8 Oklahoma; No. 9 Michigan; and No. 10 Wisconsin.

The Buckeyes finished 11-2 last season and lost 31-0 to Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl, a semifinal in the College Football Playoff. Ohio State held its fifth practice of 28 practices Thursday. It opens the season Aug. 31 at Indiana.

Ohio State plays three teams ranked in the top 10. No. 8 Oklahoma visits Columbus on Sept. 9. The Buckeyes play host to No. 6 Penn State on Oct. 28 and play at No. 9 Michigan on Nov. 25.
