DETAILED FORECAST

Clouds will break some, but still a mostly cloudy sky is expected. Temperatures overnight will not fall much, but most of us will dip into the lower 30s. Some spots will likely drop into the upper 20s, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar said.

Sunday: Clouds will increase for the first half of the day as precipitation approaches, though, most will stay dry. A rain/snow mix will begin to move in as we head into the afternoon and evening hours. The best chances to see snow will be north of Interstate 70. With temperatures getting into the upper 30s and lower 40s, the line between rain and snow will be a fine one. At this point, it appears most of what falls will be rain; however, motorists should use caution because roads could be slick in all parts of the region.

Monday: Mostly cloudy skies are expected with highs in the middle 40s. There is a chance for rain late Monday into Tuesday.

Tuesday: Cloudy skies and rain showers are expected. Highs will be in the middle to upper 40s.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy skies are on tap with highs in the lower to middle 40s. With a northwesterly flow building in, a stray sprinkle or two cannot be ruled out, especially north of I-70.

Thursday: Colder temperatures are expected under mostly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the lower 30s. There is a chance for snow as moisture moves back into the region.
