UD investigates ‘potential’ threat, 1 in custody

UD Public Safety immediately opened an investigation and contacted partner law enforcement agencies once they learned of the threat, according university officials.

“The investigation led to the person believed to be responsible for the message being taken into custody a short time later,” read a statement from the university. “UD Public Safety will now conduct a criminal investigation.”

The suspect’s identity or where they lived were not released by the university.

The university encouraged anyone who witnesses suspicious activity to call UD Public Safety at 937-229-2121 or 911.
