Troy man killed in Friday crash on U.S. 36 identified

A man who died following a crash near Piqua on U.S. 36 Friday evening have been identified.

Miami County Coroner Dr. Bill Ginn identified the man as 51-year-old Charles Hicks of Troy.

Emergency crews responded to the intersection of US 36 and Fairview Snodgrass Road in Springcreek Township at 6:58 p.m. Friday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

One person, later identified as Hicks, died and another was injured. The injured person was taken to Kettering Health Piqua.
