Premier should announce a successor for this role later this month. Dayton-based Premier has $1.8 billion in revenue for 2018 and is the largest private employer in the region, with the equivalent of about 12,200 full-time employees as of November.

Maiberger’s 27 years of experience with the health system also includes working as chief value officer and chief strategy officer. He was also previously president and CEO of Upper Valley Medical Center and administrator of the former Stouder Hospital in Troy.
He is on the board of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and is past chair of the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce Board.

There have also been several recent leadership changes within the Premier system. This includes Mike Uhl, former president of Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, taking over as president of Miami Valley Hospital at the beginning of this year. Dr. Keith Bricking succeeded Uhl as president of Atrium. Samaritan Behavioral Health named Beth Esposito as president, taking over for Sue McGatha in September. Upper Valley Medical Center, Premier’s hospital in Troy, named Tom Parker as its new president in April 2018, taking over for Rebecca Rice.
