Aircraft service company Commander Aero marks 30th anniversary

MIAMI TWP., Montgomery County — Commander Aero Inc., an aircraft maintenance company based at Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport, is hosting an aviation event this Friday and Saturday to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

The event includes aviation workshops and exhibitor displays in Commander Aero’s hangar at the airport, 10570 Springboro Pike in Miami Twp. The company was founded in 1981 at the Greene County Airport as a fixed-base operator. It renovated its current hangar and relocated to Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport in 1997.

The company’s business includes servicing and renovating Cirrus and Aero Commander aircraft. John Bosch, who became a partner in the business in 1985, now is its owner and chief executive officer.

Williams Aviation Group, an aerial photography company which shares the hangar, will celebrate its 20th anniversary this weekend. Michael G. Williams, of West Carrollton, founded the company in 1991.
