Amazon’s delivery is now free, but only if shoppers have used it before.

Amazon Prime members who want groceries delivered to their home can now get them for free, but only if they’ve already ordered delivery from Whole Foods or Amazon Fresh.

Others who haven’t yet used Amazon’s grocery delivery services will have to request and invitation to be accepted into the program that is in “high demand,” according to Amazons website. An invitation can be requested at AmazonFresh.com.

Amazon will alert people who request an invitation when they are able to start shopping Whole Foods delivery and Amazon Fresh, according to a Tuesday statement from Amazon.

“Prime members love the convenience of free grocery delivery on Amazon, which is why we’ve made Amazon Fresh a free benefit of Prime, saving customers $14.99 per month,” said Stephenie Landry, vice president of grocery delivery. “Grocery delivery is one of the fastest growing businesses at Amazon, and we think this will be one of the most-loved Prime benefits.”

Fresh grocery delivery is available in many more than 2,000 cities and towns across the United States. The online giant has worked to increase delivery speed with one- and two-hour options in most Amazon Fresh cities, according to the statement.
