American Eagle’s Dayton-Chicago flights start Tuesday

DAYTON — Dayton International Airport plans a ceremony on Tuesday, April 6, to mark American Eagle’s start of direct service to Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

Representatives of the airport and American Eagle are to speak at a 10 a.m. ceremony at the departure gate of the inaugural flight.

American Eagle will offer three daily flights between Dayton and Chicago. United Airlines already offers service between the cities.

The Chicago flights have been popular with the Dayton region’s business community, airport spokeswoman Linda Hughes said Friday, April 2. Business travelers account for about 60 percent of the passenger traffic at Dayton International Airport.
