GE Aviation’s Unison business is expanding and hiring

GE Aviation is growing its Unison Industries business and moving engineering, marketing and sales work to The Greene, a GE Aviation spokeswoman said Thursday.

“Our Unison business is expanding engineering space at The Greene, and we are looking to hire an additional 10 mechanical engineers,” said spokeswoman Jennifer Villarreal. “Unison’s additional growth is the result of recent wins on the CFM’s LEAP engine and future opportunities as well. The site will include sales, marketing and engineering.”

Just a few days ago, GE Aviation announced that Unison Industries will contribute some 300 unique tubes, brackets, harnesses and sensors to the new LEAP-1A jet engine.

Unison has about 800 employees at its current Beavercreek facility at 2455 Dayton-Xenia Road.

“We continue to grow,” Villarreal told the Dayton Daily News. In the past five years, GE Aviation has added 400 jobs at its three Dayton plants.

The company is also nearing completion of construction of a new electrical power research & development center on the University of Dayton campus off River Park Drive, east of South Patterson.
