Beavercreek native appointed as new Bob Evans Farms CEO

A Beavercreek native has been named the new chief executive officer of Bob Evans Farms.

Mike Townsley, who previously served as president of the food division, has been appointed CEO following the sale of Bob Evans Restaurants. Bob Evans Restaurants announced Tuesday it has sold all of its restaurant locations to a private equity firm for $565 million.

Townsley is a graduate of Beavercreek High School and Ohio State University.

Golden Gate Capital bought the restaurant chain, and will retain the Bob Evans leadership team to guide the transition as it takes part of the company private, the company said.

Saed Mohseni, who has served as CEO of Bob Evans Foods following the completion of the sale. On Wednesday, Mohseni told this news organization that customers can expect their local Bob Evans to remain open.

“As I sit here today, I can say there are no closures coming,” he said. “It will be business as usual at all Bob Evans.”
