Hudson Energy expands to Ohio

A Texas-based business-to-business supplier of natural gas and electricity has completed its service expansion in Ohio, according to a media release.

Hudson Energy, headquartered in Houston, has concluded its expansion in the Ohio electricity market with the addition of Duke Energy and Dayton Power & Light service territories to its commercial services footprint. The company also services FirstEnergy and AEP service territories.

Hudson’s expansion makes it easier for businesses to participate in Ohio’s deregulated electric market, said Duncan Stiles, Hudson Energy president.

“Our expansion in the Ohio market means added choice and value, in addition to innovative pricing and contracting technology for our commercial sales partners,” Stiles said in a statement. DAVE LARSEN

Restaurant closes for makeover

BUTLER TWP. — The O’Charley’s restaurant at 7030 Miller Lane in Butler Twp. closed Monday and will remain closed through Thursday for renovations. It is scheduled to reopen at 11 a.m. Friday, a spokeswoman for O’Charley’s said Monday.

The restaurant’s makeover will include upgrades inside and outside, including an expanded bar area and more space for larger parties. O’Charley’s is also adding several menu items as part of the makeover.

O’Charley’s location in Springfield underwent a similar renovation in early June, and the chain’s Miami Twp. restaurant near the Dayton Mall was refurbished in May. The Miller Lane restaurant will offer the first 50 guests a free “$9.99 meal” at 11 a.m. Friday, according to a news release. MARK FISHER
