Brent Ashcraft, MD, has joined Kettering Physician Network Primary Care – Mound in Miamisburg.

Dr. Ashcraft is board certified in family medicine and cares for patients through every stage of life.

Dr. Ashcraft earned his medical degree at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, in Rootstown, Ohio. He completed his residency at Akron Medical Center in Akron, Ohio.

New doctor hired

Alex Bunce, DO, has joined Kettering Physician Network Primary Care in Centerville.

Dr. Bunce earned his degree in osteopathic medicine from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Mo. He completed his residency at Grandview Medical Center where he was elected Chief Resident.

Dr. Bunce is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.

Cemetery names board member

Woodland Cemetery and Woodland Arboretum Foundation each announce the appointment of Lee Carpenter as a new board member.

The staff and boards of Woodland Cemetery and Woodland Arboretum Foundation welcome Lee Carpenter, Chief Executive Officer of the Dayton-based retail design consultancy group ChangeUp. An active member of the community, Carpenter has proudly served on a number of boards, including Dayton Art Institute, Dayton Ballet, Warped Wing Brewery, and Moraine Country Club. “Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum is a remarkable Dayton landmark that has brought the community together for over a century. I’m looking forward to serving on the boards and continuing their successful legacy,” said Mr. Carpenter. Carpenter will join Tony Huffman, Vail Miller, Jr., Sean O’Regan and Robert Berner as Cemetery Trustees.

Tony Huffman has been named Chairman of the Cemetery and Arboretum Foundation boards, replacing Robert Laing, Jr., who served as Chairman of both boards since 1998 and as a trustee since 1990. Laing will continue on as the Cemetery’s Treasurer and an Arboretum Foundation Trustee.

Carpenter joins the boards that oversee Woodland Cemetery’s and Woodland Arboretum’s finances, policies and procedures, strategic planning and community outreach.

Kim joins health center

Misun "Maddy" Kim has joined Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton - East Dayton Health Center. Ms. Kim is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with distinction at the University of Oklahoma and then earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of California Los Angeles. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree through Duke University. Prior to joining East Dayton Health Center, she worked at St. John's Well Child and Family Center in Los Angeles, California.
