The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce is announcing a new workforce tool offering “critical economic data.”

“Spurred by the demands of the region’s business community, the new website includes critical economic data, career forecasting information and regional tools to align the area’s workforce capabilities with business hiring needs,” the chamber said in its announcement Friday.

The tool is the result of a grant the chamber received from the Lumina Foundation, an independent, private Indianapolis-based foundation.

The chamber said it worked with several partners on the project including Ohio Means Jobs, Dayton Metro Library, Learn to Earn Dayton, Applied Research Institute of Wright State University, Montgomery County’s Development Services and ACCE Education Attainment Division.

The chamber has more than 2,400 members in the Dayton region.
