Cox Media Group Ohio promotes Roberts

Nick Roberts has been promoted to Cox Media Group Ohio director of programming and will oversee programming for CMG’s radio stations in Dayton and Louisville.

The promotion of Roberts, previously CMG Ohio operations manager in Dayton, is one of several leadership changes aimed at making CMG’s Louisville radio group more competitive.

In the Louisville market, Roberts will lead programming efforts for WRKA-FM 103.9, WVEZ-FM 106.9, WSFR-FM 107.7, and WQNU-FM 103.1 and supervise the programming staff there.

Shane Collins will become operations manager of CMG Louisville, but also will continue as an on-air personality.

“Nick and Shane are proven leaders and professionals and will help us continue our growth in a highly-competitive marketplace,” said Todd Schumacher, vice president and market manager for CMG Louisville. “Under Nick and Shane’s leadership, our team of professionals will continue providing our listeners the critical news, information and entertainment they have come to count on from us,” Schumacher added.

Matt Killion has been promoted to imaging director for CMG Ohio, where he will be responsible for producing imaging, branding and promotional material for the Dayton and Louisville markets, executives said.

Killion will report to Roberts.

Cox Media Group, a subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, includes broadcasting, publishing and digital media operations and has $1.8 billion in revenue.
