Silfex is hiring qualified CNC and 5-axis machinists to make state-of-the-art silicon components used to create high-technology devices, the Dayton Development Coalition said in an announcement.
Additional openings for engineers, machinists, maintenance technicians, manufacturing supervisors and more are available. Both full and part-time positions are open at Silfex operations in Eaton and Springfield.

Silfex was founded in Preble County and builds silicon components for everything from computer processors to cell phones to cars. The firm also grows silicon crystals at its existing plant in Eaton and will perform similar functions in Springfield.
The company is converting the 350,000-square-foot warehouse near the Prime Ohio Industrial Park in Springfield into a high-tech manufacturing plant that makes silicon products for a variety of markets.
The company has pledged to create more than 400 jobs over the next several years.
