10 Dayton-area restaurants that closed in 2015

While 2015 was a great year for dining in the Dayton area, it also came with its fair share of setbacks.

Among those setbacks were several restaurant closures. Some were national chains, others were local favorites. Either way, here's a look at the restaurants we lost in 2015.

Olive, an Urban Dive
Kimberly Collett, owner of Olive, An Urban Dive, announced in September that the popular Dayton restaurant at 416 E. Third St. would shut its doors permanently on Oct. 10, 2015. Here's a look at what we'll miss.

Dominique's Bistro & Bar (formerly C'est Tout)
Dominique's Bistro & Bar, an Oakwood mainstay for a dozen years at 2600 Far Hills Ave., shut its doors for good in July.

Cork Wine & Dine
The Cork Wine & Dine restaurant and wine bar at 21 Greene Blvd. in The Greene Town Center shut down in December.

Crazy Mango
The owners of Crazy Mango Bar & Bistro closed their restaurant at The Greene in Beavercreek in July.

El Pueblo and Sammy's Gourmet Burgers
The El Pueblo and Sammy's Gourmet Burgers & Beers dual-concept restaurant at 776 N. Main S. (Ohio 741) in the Marketplace at Settler's Walk retail center in Springboro closed its doors after five years.

Anticoli's Giuliano Tavern
Leo Anticoli — the 80-year-old patriarch of what is believed to be the Dayton area's longest-established, continually operating restaurant family — announced that he sold the building housing Anticoli's Giuliano Tavern. He retired after the restaurant closed in June.

Neil's Heritage House
Neil's Heritage House restaurant and banquet center shut down for good in March.

Ponderosa Steakhouse
The last two remaining Ponderosa Steakhouses in the Dayton area shut down in April and November, respectively.

Denny's
The Denny's restaurant at 1136 S. Main St. across from the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Dayton closed its doors permanently on Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Roush's Restaurant
Roush's Restaurant, a Fairborn institution for more than five decades (54 years, to be exact), shut down at the end of October.
