Headquartered in Dayton, CareSource had $10.4 billion in revenue in 2018 and nearly 2 million policy holders in five states: Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia.

The nonprofit insurer has Medicaid, Medicare, dual-eligible and Marketplace insurance business lines.

CareSource expressed enthusiasm in a statement to The Atlanta Journal Constitution.

“CareSource has proudly served more than 200,000 Georgia Medicaid members since 2017,” Georgia market President Bobby Jones said. “We’re excited to expand our service offering for 2020 to include Marketplace.”
