Dayton Children’s names new VP

Dayton Children’s Hospital said Benjamin Goodstein has joined the hospital as vice president and chief ambulatory officer, effective today.

He replaces Gregory Ramey, who has been named executive director of Dayton Children’s Center for Pediatric Mental Health Resources.

Prior to joining the local hospital, Goodstein was director of the cardiovascular service line, operations and business development for Aurora BayCare Medical Center, a 167-bed hospital serving the Green Bay, Wisc. area, according to a release from Dayton Children’s.

As the chief ambulatory officer of Dayton Children’s, Goodstein will be responsible for the hospital’s ambulatory specialty clinics. He will also oversee the administration of medical imaging and laboratory, genetics, outpatient testing centers, urgent care and the Children’s Health Clinic. Dayton Children’s delivers outpatient specialty care services at its main campus, as well as out outpatient care centers in Lima, Middletown and Springfield.

Dayton Children’s previously announced in December that Ramey would lead the newly created center for pediatric mental health services. Efforts are to provide better mental health resources to children and families in the Dayton community.
