Dayton Children’s Hospital is planning a new $12 million building in Beavercreek that will consolidate two of its locations and be shared by two pediatrician practices.

The outpatient care center will be built north of Dayton-Xenia and North Fairfield Roads in Beavercreek.

Pediatric Associates of Dayton will move from 3140 Dayton-Xenia Road and PriMed Beavercreek Pediatrics will move from 2322 Lakeview Drive to new offices in the building.

The 35,000-square-foot construction project, led by Beavercreek-based Mills Development, should start in November and finish a year later. Dayton Children’s will lease the space from Mills.

Dr. David Roer, pediatrician for Pediatric Associates of Dayton, said the new office “will allow us to accommodate our patients with more space in a modern new building. Having access to services provided by Dayton Children’s Hospital is just an added bonus.”

“We know that our patients will appreciate the advancements that this new space allows us to implement seamlessly into their care,” Ted Inman, CEO of PriMed Physicians, said in a statement.

For Dayton Children’s, this center will consolidate the developmental rehabilitation, lab and imaging services that are in two separate offices on Dayton-Xenia Road. The new location will also mean more room to expand their developmental rehabilitation services and add sports rehabilitation service.

The new center will be built on a site shared by a Dunkin’ Donuts that’s already under construction. Dayton Children’s stated that plans for other portions of the site also include additional retail, and medical and professional office development.

The new office follows a series of new construction and renovation projects by Dayton Children’s, including:

• Kids Express, a clinic for minor conditions that opened early 2019 at 662 N. Main St. Springboro;

• the Child Health Pavilion, a medical and social service hub that opened in May at the corner of Valley Street and Stanley Avenue;

• An urgent care in that opened December 2018 in Huber Heights at 8501 Old Troy Pike;

• A new Troy outpatient center that opened in February in at 865 W. Market St.;

• And a new inpatient mental health unit that started seeing patients in July at the hospital’s main campus in Dayton.

In addition, Shriners Hospitals for Children in Cincinnati is moving to Dayton Children’s main campus and the first patient could be treated the summer of 2020.
