Doc’s Place reopening in Lebanon

LEBANON - The owners of the Little River Café in Oregonia are reopening Doc’s Place in downtown Lebanon.

Doc’s will be open to the public on Wednesday, Nov. 4, Mike Jacobs, general manager, announced today.

Jacobs and brother-in-law Todd Holmes own and operate the Little River Café, east of Lebanon along the Little Miami River.

“We just thought it would be an excellent opportunity to expand our brand,” Jacobs said.

Dennis Teall, who owns the building on Mulberry Street in Lebanon housing Doc’s, will be part of the management team during the transition, Jacobs said.

“We’re excited,” Jacobs, a Lebanon resident, said. “It was always our Cheers bar back in the day.”

Doc’s Place operated for more than a decade, just west of Broadway in the city’s historic downtown district.

It closed earlier this year after new owners took over and changed the name to Bobaloo’s Grille & Tavern.

Jacobs said they had purchased and remodeled the building, and hired Jonathon Price as their chef.

They plan to serve craft beers and feature live acoustic music.
