Pennsylvania-based Lindy Communities said in January it plans to buy and improve the property. Following renovations, the building is expected to have around 50 apartments.

Records show the seller to be Golden Line USA, which first acquired the building for $857,000 in 2015.

Jenkintown, Pa.-based Lindy has been keen on Dayton properties. In December 2018, the business bought the 14-story Dayton Towers for about $13.5 million. Dayton Towers, built in 1963, is at 425 Dayton Towers Drive, just east of the Oregon business district.

Counted among Lindy properties are the St. Clair Lofts, 35 S. St. Clair St., also in downtown Dayton, and Trailbridge Townhomes in Middletown. The company also has communities in Philadelphia, Sarasota and Tampa, Fla. and elsewhere.
