Duluth Trading Company is eyeing a nationwide expansion, national media reports are saying.

Duluth Trading, the work-wear apparel retailer, plans to expand to a total of 100 locations in the next five years, ChainStoreAge.com reported, citing a report from another newspaper.

That’s up from the chain’s current array of 34 stores.

“We’re looking for a coast-to-coast presence from Portland, Maine, to Portland, Ore.,” Duluth Trading Chief Executive Stephanie Pugliese has been quoted as saying.

The Belleville, Wis.-based company has plans to open 15 stores this year, the retail web site said.

One of its more recent stores is in Butler County’s West Chester Twp., where the company opened a 14,557-square-foot standalone building in May 2017.

At the time of the West Chester Twp. opening, that location was only the company’s 21st location nationwide — and its first in Ohio.

“In choosing where to build the first store in the state, we knew we had a large fan base already in Southwest Ohio because of online orders,” store manager Sean Benson said last year. “West Chester and Union Centre Boulevard made the most sense for the brand because of its accessibility off the freeway and the continual growth as a retail and entertainment destination.”
