LongHorn confirms third Dayton-area steakhouse

LongHorn Steakhouse on Wednesday confirmed that it is planning to build a new 240-seat, 5,400-square-foot restaurant in Vandalia, at the southeast corner of Miller Lane and Benchwood Avenue just south of the existing restaurant row on Miller Lane.

“We are currently in negotiations to lease the site and have submitted plans to build our new restaurant prototype” on the land, said LongHorn Steakhouse spokeswoman Erica Jaeger.

LongHorn typically opens its restaurants with 80 to 100 employees, Jaeger said. The projected opening date has not been determined, she said.

The Vandalia Planning Commission is scheduled to consider LongHorn’s development plan at its meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 22. LongHorn also operates restaurants in Moraine and Beavercreek.
