LongHorn typically opens its restaurants with 80 to 100 employees, Jaeger said. The projected opening date has not been determined, she said.
The Vandalia Planning Commission is scheduled to consider LongHorn’s development plan at its meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 22. LongHorn also operates restaurants in Moraine and Beavercreek.
In other dining news:
• Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern will open its largest-ever location on Wednesday at 5035 Deerfield Boulevard in the Deerfield Towne Center in Mason.
Columbus-based Rusty Bucket operates a recently remodeled location in front of the Dayton Mall in Miami Twp and 14 other locations in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.
The Mason location will open with 100 employees and will offer seating for 248. The restaurant also has a patio, which can be heated to allow for seating most of the year, Rusty Bucket officials said.
• The Star City Brewing Company craft brewery that is coming to the former Peerless Mill Restaurant space in Miamisburg will host its grand opening on Nov. 15 and is now offering three tiers of “pre-open memberships,” according to co-owner Brian Yavorsky.
Members who join before Nov. 8 will be able to attend an invitation-only event prior to the Nov. 15 grand opening, Yavorsky said. There are three levels of membership, costing $25, $75 or $125, the brewery co-founder said.
