NASIC commander nominated to become brigadier general

The commander of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has been nominated for promotion to flag rank.

Air Force Col. Parker Wright has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general, the Department of Defense said Monday. Wright is serving as the commander, National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), deputy chief of staff, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Cyber Effects Operations, at Wright-Patterson.

Also at Wright-Patt, Air Force Col. Dale R. White has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general, the department said. White is serving as the program senior materiel leader, Advanced Aircraft, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command. AFMC is based at Wright-Patterson.

Again at Wright-Patterson, Air Force Col. Matthew W. Higer has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Higer is serving as the commander, Data Masked, at AFMC headquarters.

Wright-Patterson is the largest single-site employer in Ohio and one of nation’s largest Air Force bases, with about 30,000 military and civilian employees.
