Lordstown designs and makes electric trucks in a former Lordstown, Ohio General Motors plant, now dubbed “Voltage Valley.”
Workhorse is a company based northeast of Cincinnati focused on making electric vehicles for last-mile delivery. The company builds battery-electric vehicles including trucks and aircraft.
In April, Workhorse was able to secure $1.4 million from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program.
“These funds will go a long way in allowing us to continue to meet our payroll needs and, as an essential business supporting the package delivery industry, keeping all our employees safe and working is critical through this challenging period,” Schrader said at the time.
Schrader worked for Fuyao from December 2015 to December 2019.
