Field & Stream coming to Austin Landing

Field & Stream is going to open a retain store at Austin Landing, Miami Twp. officials said Friday in a press release.

“The Miami Twp. Planning Department has been working closely with RG Properties to secure the anchor tenant in Austin Landing.

Field & Stream, owned by Dick’s Sporting Goods, has stores in Cranberry Township, Penn., and Crescent Springs, Ky. The Miami Twp. store, along with another store in Columbus, will be the first Field & Stream stores in Ohio.

The proposed 50,000-square-foot store will be at the entrance of Austin Landing, along Austin Boulevard, just east of Interstate 75. The store will carry outdoor equipment and specific equipment for hunting, fishing, archery and camping.

“Miami Township is excited to bring this new offering to the Miami Valley,” Andrew Papanek, Vice President, Miami Twp. Trustee, said in the release. “Field & Stream is a destination retailer that will serve the entire Dayton market and all of northern Cincinnati. I am very proud of our Staff’s effort to make Austin Landing a unique destination that continues to grow and attract these types of businesses.”

The store is expected to break ground in March and open its doors in Fall 2014.
