“We pretty much had no choice” but to close, Lewis said.
Lewis said the club’s 1,700 members can continue their workouts uninterrupted, however, at nearby Premier Fitness, 8423 N. Main St. in Englewood. The clubs aren’t affiliated, but Premier has accepted the memberships.
Fitworks also has a club at 4464 Indian Ripple Road in Beavercreek. Lewis said Miller Lane members in the initial term of their membership, or those who have prepaid to renew, can work out at this location, too.
As for a future in Montgomery County, Lewis said, “We’re always looking for new locations, but we’ve been unsuccessful so far.”
Fitworks has 17 clubs in the Dayton, Cleveland, and Cincinnati markets.
